About Beaumont Dave

Beaumont Dave is the president and CEO of the Queen of the Neches Trailer Park & Chicken Livery in Beaumont, Texas in the U-S-A. That means he’s the fellow you see if’n you wanna park your trailer and your trailer park woman hereabouts.

Hereabouts is the site of the 1901 Spindletop oil gusher, the big un that started the oil boom in this country. That funky smell that’s been giving you a headache for days? Could be Beaumont Dave’s chickens, or just as likely, the local petrochemical plants. Either way, it’s the smell of money. Speaking of which, have you seen our newest black gold, the sprawling prison complex located right in the middle of the old Spindletop oilfield?

Beaumont Dave comes from a close-knit family. His wife, Mrs. Dave, is also his sister. His car, the semi-ancient Honda Love Machine, was where it all began for sons Biff and Scooter, recent grads of Texas A&M who are now studying law at Baylor and South Carolina. And did we mention Dave keeps a live chicken in his underwear?

That’s one way to relax. He also likes to grab a bag of pork rinds and sit in front of the old Airstream and listen to Jerry Jeff Walker on the Honda’s 8-track stereo system. Beaumont Dave’s president of the Jefferson County Gonzo Music Appreciation Society, after all. But musical appreciation comes natural in a place that produced Johnny and Edgar Winter, Janis Joplin, Harry James and the Big Bopper.

BD furthered his aural education at North Texas Normal College in Denton, Texas, the place that turned out the likes of Steven Fromholz, Michael Murphy and Phyllis George. It was the Sixties and Dave majored in the Fry Street Head Shop and good times.

Now he’s involved in some different weird science, breeding chickens for profit and pleasure. Cock-a-doodle-do indeed. He’ll never go birdless again.
